Best Broadband Special Offers for December 2008
With Christmas and New Year coming there are some good Broadband offers to be had. The best 2 special offer promotions that I have found allow you not have to pay for the first month or twos worth of broadband.
I'll start off with Virgin Media's "Have 2 months on us" offer. This offer allows you to have fibre optic broadband, TV and a phone line free for two months! After the 2 months are up it'll cost £44/month so it is competitive with Sky's offerings. That means you save £88! The total cost over the year will be £440. You may be wondering what a similar package would cost at Sky. A similar package to this at Sky would be the TV with Sky Sports and 4 "bundles" of channels, their MAX broadband (unlimited downloads, 16Mb line - which is 6Mb faster if you can get the full speed) and Sky Talk. This works out at £48 a month, which is £4 a month more expensive before you even consider Virgin Media's 2 saving.
The other company to have a good introductory offer is Be Broadband. They offer a nice 1 month free broadband with no connection fee. BE Broadband offer 3 types of package, their Be Unlimited which has a 24MB connection and unlimited downloads. This costs £17.50/month. They offer a Be Pro plan which costs £21.50/month and a Be Value plan at £13.50.
